Sarso Bhav: Mustard prices rise, gram rate rises by Rs 500

Prices of mustard rose due to increased buying in Jaipur market on Saturday and the price of gram has increased by Rs 500 within a week.

Jaipur : In the Jaipur market of Rajasthan, there was a jump of Rs 100 per quintal in chana mill delivery. Actually these days the demand for pulses and gram flour is strong. Due to which the prices of chana are increasing. However, due to the increasing demand for chana for the last few months, it is getting good prices to the farmers. 

In a week, the prices of chana have increased by Rs 500 per quintal. Here, due to the buying by oil mills, the prices of mustard mill delivery have improved. Mustard rose by Rs 25 on Saturday and the price of Kachi Ghani oil also increased by Rs 100 per quintal.

It is usually seen in Jaipur Mandi that the price of mustard is slightly higher here than in other Mandis. Farmers from far-flung areas reach Jaipur Mandi to sell their crops. 

Due to the festive season, the demand for gram dal and gram flour is increasing and hence the price of gram is rising. Apart from gram and mustard, the price of Kota soya oil also rose by Rs 50. There was normal trading in other crops in the Mandi, no change was seen in the prices of guar seed and sugar.

What are the prices 

Jaipur line chana was sold at 7800 to 8000 rupees per quintal, chana dal medium at 9000 to 9050 rupees per quintal and chana dal bold at 9450 to 9500 per quintal. 

The rate of mustard 42% condition mill delivery was 6100 to 6005 rupees per quintal and mustard crude oil was 1180 rupees per quintal.

Many efforts were made by the government to stop the rising prices of gram. But the rising prices could not be controlled. The central government had imposed a storage limit on gram in June. So far, no results have been seen in terms of inflation.
