Will this new electric SUV from Tata become a threat to Nexon EV? Range more than 400km, price low
Tata Punch EV:Now another new electric SUV has been launched in the market by Tata Motors, which is priced less than Nexon EV but in terms of range it is very close to Nexon EV.

But, now another new electric SUV has been launched in the market by Tata Motors, whose price is less than Nexon EV but in terms of range it is very close to Nexon EV.
Its name is Tata Punch EV. Now the question is whether it can become a threat to Nexon EV? Come on, let's understand.
Actually, there is a difference of one segment between Punch EV and Nexon EV. Both are in the sub-4 meter category but the Punch EV falls in the segment below it – micro electric segment while the Nexon EV is bigger than this.
That is, it is larger in size than the Punch, offers more cabin space and has a higher brand value. But, the overall loadings of Punch are also attractive. It also has good features and a big battery pack. Apart from this the price is also low.
The price of Tata Punch EV starts from Rs 10.99 lakh to Rs 15.49 lakh (introductory, ex-showroom). Whereas, the price of Tata Nexon EV starts from Rs 14.74 lakh to Rs 19.94 lakh (ex-showroom).
The base variant of Nexon EV is available at Rs 14.74 lakh, which offers a range of 325 km (claimed), while the top variant of Punch EV is available at a price of Rs 15.49 lakh, which offers a range of 421 km (claimed).
The base variant of Tata Punch EV can give 315 km range (claimed), which is worth Rs 10.99 lakh, while the base variant of Nexon EV can give 325 km range (claimed), which is worth Rs 14.74 lakh.
In such a situation, people who have a low budget but want an EV with more range may be inclined towards Punch TV rather than Nexon. However, here they will have to compromise on size and cabin space.
The Punch EV has a 10.25-inch full digital driver display with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity. It has features like air purifier, ventilated front seat, sunroof, six airbags, 360 degree camera, ESC and electronic parking brake with auto hold.
The car has the option of two battery packs – 25kWh (82PS/114Nm) and 35kWh (122PS/190Nm). The 25kWh battery pack model gives 315 km range and the 35kWh battery pack model gives 421 km range.
