On January 19, young Amit Mishra shot his girlfriend Priya Katheria. After this, he fled from the spot. The young couple was living in a live-in relationship for the last two years.
Police reached the spot as soon as the information about the murder was received. Investigation revealed that Ajay Mishra, who lives in Brahmanagar of Shuklaganj, is a religious person. He was also a priest in a temple on P-Road, but was expelled from there on charges of theft.
8 months ago, Ajay Mishra took a room on rent in Rajkumari Sharma's house in Gadaria Mohalla. He contacted Priya Katheria, a beauty parlor owner from Chamanganj.
32-year-old Priya was married. Priya Katheria and Ajay Mishra started living together. Priya and Ajay were to get married in February. On Saturday too, Priya reached Ajay's room to meet him like every day.
During this, the two fought over something. A bullet was fired amid the screams and then everything stopped. Hearing the bullet, the owner of the room, Rajkumari, saw Priya in a blood-soaked condition. Ajay Mishra was running away from there barefoot.
On receiving the news, the police of Harbanshmohal police station reached the spot and took Priya to Ursala in a critical condition. After examination at Ursala, the doctors declared her dead.
In the police investigation, Ajay told that he often had arguments with his lover. He killed Priya in a fit of rage. Ajay also has a case registered against him from Maharajpur in the past.
