Pakistan Cricket: After the shameful defeat in Australia, Pakistan Cricket took a big step, three coaches out

PCB: Pakistan team had to face a shameful defeat during the recent Australia tour. Pakistan was swept 3-0 in the three-match series. Now Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has taken a big step and decided to part ways with three foreign coaches.

HR Mandi Bhav: Mickey Arthur: Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has decided to part ways with its foreign coaches Mickey Arthur, Grant Bradburn and Andrew Puttick after the poor performance of the senior team in recent times including the World Cup. 

Have decided. A senior board official said that PCB (Pakistan Cricket Board) Chairman Zaka Ashraf and Chief Operating Officer Salman Naseer will negotiate the final agreement with the three. 

Poor performance in the World Cup 

The three, who were part of the Pakistan team management during the Asia Cup and World Cup, decided to take leave after returning to Lahore from India and were informed that their services were no longer required with the national team. 

All three were told that the PCB has decided that they will work at the National Cricket Academy, as they have appointed Mohammad Hafeez as the director and new coach of the Pakistan team. 

But the PCB came to know that there was no such rule in the contracts of these three which forced them to work permanently in the NCA. 

PCB official gave statement 

The official said, 'Mickey is already with Derbyshire and Puttick and Bradburn have got new responsibilities. Therefore, after some discussion, it was decided to end the matter without any differences and release them from their contract. He accepted that the board will give a few months' salary to all three as compensation. 

The batting coach had informed earlier 

The official also confirmed that batting coach Puttick had informed the PCB about his new assignment with Afghanistan before accepting the contract. 

Similarly, Bradburn had also informed the PCB that the English county Glamorgan wanted to appoint him as their head coach. Pakistan lost to Australia by 360 runs in the first test match of the series, by 79 runs in the second match and by 8 wickets in the third match.
