New Zealand captain Kane Williamson (57 runs) and batsman Daryl Mitchell (61 runs) thrashed the bowlers and scored a big score of 226 runs in the stipulated 20 overs. In response, all the batsmen of Pakistan were limited to 180 runs in 18 overs. Babar Azam played an inning of 57 runs, but could not succeed in leading the team to victory.
Mitchell-Kane defeated the bowlers fiercely

Pakistani batting collapses in front of Tim Southee
Pakistan team was all out for 180 runs. Tim Southee took maximum 4 wickets. He sent set batsmen Mohammad Rizwan (25 runs) and Iftikhar Ahmed (24 runs) to the pavilion.
Apart from these, he also dismissed lower order batsmen Abbas Afridi (1 run) and Haris Rauf (0 runs). At the same time, Adam Milne and Ben Sears took 2 wickets each. Ish Sodhi got 1 success.
Babar Azam's half century in vain
