HR Mandi Bhav News: With the inclusion of budget for ropeway in the budget of the UP government, the work of connecting the stalled project, Metro Red Line to the old railway station through ropeway, can be expedited.

The Red Line of the Metro terminates at New Bus Stand in Ghaziabad. After this, passengers will have to go to the old railway station via GT Road.

As a result, the problem of jam continues on GT Road. People demanded from Union Minister VK Singh to connect the railway station with the new bus stand.

To run the ropeway on this route, National Highway Logistics Management (NHLM) conducted a survey and prepared a DPR. The target was to build a ropeway, but due to lack of funds the work stopped midway.

Now, with the provision of Rs 100 crore in the budget for the ropeway, the hopes for the progress of this project have increased. At the same time, GDA had sought approval for ropeway on four routes in the earlier board meeting.

This route was from Vaishali to Mohannagar, Noida Sector 62 to Sahibabad, New Bus Adda Metro Station to Railway Station and Rajnagar Extension to Hindon River Metro Station.

The proposal for the first two routes was rejected in the board meeting because it was not appropriate to run any other vehicle in the middle of the metro route.

people will benefit

The railway station can be connected to the metro by building a ropeway in the green belt behind Mahamaya Stadium and pillars along the railway line. By connecting the railway station with the metro, more than 20 thousand people will benefit every day.

Traffic pressure on GTW will be reduced. Extension to this station will also directly benefit the people living in Delhi's Dilshad Garden, Shahdara, Shalimar Garden of UP Border, Loni, Rajendranagar, Shaheed Park, Mohannagar and Hindon Airbase.
