Suppose you want to book a luggage weighing 25 kg in a train from Patna to Delhi, then you will have to pay a fare of Rs 320 for this. Actually, according to the parcel chart of Railways, the fare price of a parcel weighing 50 kg for the distance from 1051 to 1075 kilometers is Rs 320.16.

Whereas, if the weight of the goods is up to 1 quintal then the parcel charge will be Rs 533. However, other charges prescribed by the Railways may also be added to it. Clear information about which will be available at the railway parcel counter.

Booking process in Railways- 

To book a parcel in Railways, you will have to take your luggage to the parcel office. After this, after filling the forwarding letter, the fees will have to be deposited. 

The special thing is that the parcel can be booked even half an hour before the departure of the train. To book a bike or other small vehicle, vehicle registration papers and government ID are mandatory. Apart from this, the petrol tank of the vehicle should be completely empty.
