Haryana Assembly Election 2024: The people of Haryana will today elect their representatives for the next 5 years on all 90 assembly seats, for which 1031 candidates are in the fray. More than 2 crore 3 lakh voters will exercise their franchise in the elections, out of which 8 thousand 821 voters are above 100 years of age.

Haryana Vidhan Sabha Chunav Latest Update: Voting for the assembly elections will be held in Haryana today and voting will be held in all 90 seats in a single phase. The fate of 1031 candidates including Haryana CM Nayab Singh Saini and former Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda is at stake.
The people of Haryana will elect their representatives for the next 5 years on all 90 assembly seats today. In the 2019 assembly elections, 62.74 percent voting took place.
BJP is expected to score a hattrick in the Haryana assembly elections, while Congress is hoping to return to power in the state after 10 years. The results of the elections will come on October 8.
On the same day, the results of the Jammu and Kashmir assembly elections will also be declared, where votes were cast in three phases on September 18, September 25 and October 1.
8821 voters are above 100 years of age
This time 1031 candidates are in the fray for 90 assembly seats in Haryana. More than 2 crore 3 lakh voters will exercise their franchise in the elections, out of which 8 thousand 821 voters are above 100 years of age.
A total of 20,632 polling stations have been set up for voting. The special thing is that out of 2.03 crore voters, 95 are female voters, while 1.07 crore are male voters and 467 are other voters.
538 crorepati candidates in the election fray
1031 candidates are trying their luck in the election field for 90 seats of Haryana Assembly, out of which 101 are women candidates. Out of 1031 candidates, 538 candidates are crorepatis, out of which 85 are from BJP, 84 from Congress, 52 from AAP, 46 from JJP, 34 from INLD and 18 from BSP.
How many educated candidates this time
Out of 1031 candidates, 47 percent i.e. 486 candidates have studied from 5th to 12th class. Apart from this, there are 492 candidates who have done graduation or higher studies. Apart from this, 26 candidates are diploma holders. Whereas, 8 candidates are literate and 15 are illiterate. One candidate out of 1031 has not given information about his educational qualification in the election affidavit.

181 candidates are above 61 years of age
Out of the 1031 candidates contesting on 90 seats, 181 candidates are between 61 and 80 years of age. Apart from this, the age of 181 candidates is between 41 and 60 years.
Whereas, the age of 319 candidates is less than 40 years. It is clear from this that all the political parties have placed their bets on young candidates in this election.
Tight security arrangements for voting
Tight security arrangements have been made for the polling and 225 companies of CAPF have been deployed across the state, including 40 CRPF, 25 BSF, 45 CISF, 35 ITBP, 45 SSB and 35 RPF companies. Apart from these, 391 static surveillance teams and 453 flying squad teams have also been deployed for surveillance.
