HR Mandi Bhav News (Cumin Prices Fall): The general public has started getting relief from the reduction in petrol prices. After reaching Rs 750 per kg about a month ago, the price of cumin has fallen again. Cumin is currently being sold at Rs 450 per kg. In such a situation, the general public is relieved from the lack of emotions.

It is noteworthy that about six months ago the retail price of cumin had reached seven hundred to eight hundred rupees. At the same time, on purchasing a packet of 100 grams, cumin was available for Rs 90 to Rs 90. The price of a packet of 100 grams cumin seeds is now only Rs 50.

cumin is the most

Cumin is produced mostly in Jaisalmer, Barmer, Jalore and Jodhpur. It is estimated that the annual turnover of cumin here is around Rs 5445 thousand crores. Jodhpur also has the largest cumin market in Rajasthan.

Apart from this, most of the farmers go to Unjha in Gujarat to sell the cumin crop. The biggest market of this area is Unjha. Jalore's cumin is exported all over the world including America. According to the Agriculture Department in the state, cumin is sown in about five to six lakh hectares.

This increased prices

Traders said that due to less production in the past and taking stock of cumin by big traders, the arrival of cumin in the market was less than the demand. Demand was high and supply was low, so cumin prices suddenly increased.

they claim

Cumin prices have increased due to low production in the past and high demand. But now a new crop has arrived, due to which production has increased. This is the reason why the prices of cumin are now low.
