Construction work will no longer be delayed in UP, strict order issued by CM Yogi

HR Mandi Bhav, UP News - Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has ordered rapid completion of important construction projects of public interest. After returning from Delhi, he gave necessary instructions in an important meeting with Additional Chief Secretaries and Principal Secretaries of various departments on Friday evening.

He said that the quality and timeliness of work cannot be achieved in any way. Every project must adhere to time. The firm will be penalized for being late. If penalty is imposed more than three times, the firm will be blacklisted.

13 medical colleges will be opened simultaneously -

The Chief Minister said that from the coming session, MBBS studies will start in Chandauli, Bulandshahr, Bijnor, Lalitpur, Pilibhit, Kanpur Dehat, Gonda, Auraiya, Lakhimpur Kheri, Kaushambi, Kushinagar, Sultanpur and Sonbhadra. 

Construction work in all these 13 medical colleges should be completed by the end of January. The quality of work should be checked before taking handover. All medical colleges should unite to achieve this goal rapidly. 

Complete all work by 31st January:

The Chief Minister said that the building of Atal Bihari Vajpayee Medical University, Lucknow should be completed this month and the construction works of Mahayogi Guru Gorakhnath Ayush University, Gorakhpur and Amethi Medical College should be expedited. 

He said that studies have started in Maa Shakumbhari University, Saharanpur, Raja Mahendra Pratap Singh State University, Aligarh and Maharaja Suheldev State University, Azamgarh. All these universities will work on their campus from the next session, so the construction work should be completed by January 31. Provide furniture etc. on time.

The construction of Bareilly should be completed by February.

CM said that the work of Sainik School, Gorakhpur should be completed by January and the construction work of Unani Medical College, Bareilly should be completed by February. The construction work of Rampur, a cultural harmony centre, is progressing relatively slowly. 

It will happen fast. Delay in construction projects not only leads to cost overruns but also deprives the target community of timely benefits. There will be no budget revision of any project related to construction work including prisons, medical colleges and universities. 

ACS regular work review

He instructed every Additional Chief Secretary and Principal Secretary to conduct a written review of the under-construction projects of their department. Take immediate action if work is delayed, monthly targets are not met or quality is not up to standards. 

Penalties will be imposed on firms not meeting the standards of quality and timeliness. If penalty is imposed thrice, the firm will be blacklisted. There was no delay in the process of construction of the proposed District Court in ten districts, such as land selection, consultant selection, DPR, etc. This will be given priority to the planning department.
