Force Gurkha 5-Door and 3 Door Launched In India: Force Motors has finally launched its famous offroading SUV Force Gurkha in a completely new avatar. Equipped with attractive looks and powerful engine, this SUV has been launched by the company in both 5-door and 3-door variants. The starting price of its five-door variant has been fixed at Rs 18 lakh and the starting price of the three-door variant has been fixed at Rs 16.75 lakh (ex-showroom).

Booking of the new Force Gurkha has already started from 29th April. Interested customers can book it through the company's official website and authorized dealerships. Force Motors says that the test drive of this SUV is planned to start this week and delivery from the middle of the month. The company has made many major changes in this SUV which makes it better than the previous model.

Will compete with THAR: 

Currently, Force Gurkha will directly compete with Mahindra Thar. However, Thar currently comes only in three-door variant. There is a plan to launch Thar 5-door in the month of August this year. THAR is also available in petrol engine with two-wheel drive and automatic transmission gearbox. Whereas Gurkha comes only in diesel manual and as standard four wheel drive (4WD) variant. 

Look and Design:

With many major changes from exterior to interior, the new Force Gurkha has been introduced in both three door and five door variants. The company has launched the new Force Gurkha in many different colors. Which includes green, red, white and black color. The 5 Door variant is similar to the 3 Door variant in terms of look and design. However, it is bigger in size and its cabin has more space as well as better seating capacity.

Force Gurkha has single slat grill, fender mounted turn indicators, circular LED headlamps, daytime running lights, fog lights with cornering system, roof rack, chunky wheel arch etc. Talking about the size of Gurkha 3-Door, its length is 3,965 mm, width 1,865 mm and height 2,080 mm. At the same time, it has a wheelbase of 2,400 mm and a turning radius of 5.5 meters. 

Size of Force Gurkha:

The length of Gurkha 5-Door is 4,390 mm, width 1,865 mm and height 2,095 mm. Being bigger in size, it gets a wheelbase of 2,825 mm and a turning radius of 6.3 meters. It has a ground clearance of 233 mm. This SUV comes with 34 degree gradeability. The company has given 18-inch alloy wheels in it. Apart from this, its water wading capacity is also 700-mm. Which helps it to move easily without stopping even on bad and water-filled roads. 

Power and performance:

A 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system has been provided in the Gurkha's cabin. Which comes with Android Auto and Apple Car Play wireless car connectivity system. The company has used a 2.6-liter capacity 4-cylinder diesel engine sourced from Mercedes Benz. Which generates a powerful power of 138 bhp and torque of 320Nm. This engine is mated to a 5-speed manual transmission only. It has a standard four-wheel drive (4X4) system.

 Other features include digital instrument cluster, tilt and telescopic steering wheel, manual AC, roof mounted AC vents, power windows in all doors. Force Gurkha has also improved in safety. It has dual airbags, anti-lock braking system (ABS) with electronic brakeforce distribution (EBD), tire pressure monitoring system. In Gurkha 5 Door, the company has provided a bench seat in the second row and a captain seat in the third row.
