Shramjeevi Blast News: On July 28, 2005, there was an explosion in the Shramjeevi Express train near Harpalganj railway station of Singramau, Jaunpur. A total of 14 people died and 62 others were injured in the explosion.

HR Mandi Bhav: Shramjeevi Blast News:  Jaunpur's Additional Sessions Court on Wednesday found two more accused guilty and sentenced them to death in the Shramjeevi Express train bomb blast case. The court awarded death sentence to Hilal alias Hilaluddin and Nafikul Biswas, natives of Bangladesh. The court has also imposed a fine of Rs 5 lakh each on both of them. 

Hilal and Nafikul were convicted by the judge on 22 December. Two other convicts in this case have already been sentenced to death in 2016 and although the appeal of both of them against this sentence is still pending in the High Court.

Terrorists had entered India from Bangladesh.

The Shramjeevi blast was carried out by seven terrorists who had entered India from the Bangladesh border. All seven terrorists had reached Bihar via Murshidabad. A briefcase bomb was kept under the seat in the general bogie of Shramjeevi Express (train number 2391) standing at Patna railway station. 

Police, railway officials and the prosecution said that the terrorists had deliberately placed the bomb in the bogie behind the engine so that maximum damage could be caused. The bomb exploded near the railway crossing between Harpalpur and Koiripur in Jaunpur.

Hilal and Nafikul are members of the terrorist organization Harkat-ul-Jihad al-Islami (HuJI). After all, what is this terrorist organization?

Harkat-ul-Jihad-al (HuJI) is a Pakistani terrorist organization. There are organizations affiliated with Al-Qaeda and Taliban. The organization has been most active in Pakistan, Bangladesh and India since the early 1990s. This organization is also said to have connections with Al Qaeda and Taliban.

This militant organization has been designated as a terrorist group by India, Israel, New Zealand, the United Kingdom, the United States and Bangladesh.

HuJI's operational commander Ilyas Kashmiri was killed in a US drone strike in South Waziristan on 4 June 2011. He was linked to the bomb blast at a German bakery in Pune on 13 February 2010. A local Taliban commander named Shah Saheb was named Kashmiri's successor.

HuJI has claimed responsibility for many terrorist attacks in India. These included serial bomb blasts in the Indian city of Varanasi in March 2006, which killed at least 28 people and injured 101.
