They drive recklessly on the roads without a license. Sometimes they are also seen tripling. They risk their lives and drive waving on the roads.
According to the report, the number of boys and girls below 18 years of age who lost their lives in road accidents is high. Now the UP government has taken strict steps to stop these accidents.
According to which, boys and girls below the age of 18 years will no longer be able to ride a scooter or bike. The government has completely banned it. If boys and girls of any house are found doing this, then the full responsibility for this will be on their parents.
There will be punishment for breaking the rules
According to the report, if any parent or vehicle owner gives a bike, scooter or car to a boy or girl below 18 years of age to drive, then he can be sentenced to three years of imprisonment.
Apart from this, a fine of Rs 25 thousand will also be imposed on him. This rule has been issued by the UP Transport Department to prevent road accidents in the state.
The department had given orders to all RMs, ARMs and RTOs regarding the matter. After this, the Director of Secondary Education has written a letter to the District School Inspectors and informed them. According to which, now students below 18 years of age will not drive. If any student is found not following this order, his parents can also be punished.
Boys and girls will not be able to ride scooty-bikes
The department has said in its order that no guardian will allow boys and girls below 18 years of age to drive. If this happens then he himself will be responsible for it. If a minor is found driving, his parents will be held responsible.
As punishment, the Guardian will be sentenced to three years imprisonment and will also be fined Rs 25,000. Not only this, the driving license of the vehicle will also be canceled for one year. Whereas if a minor is found driving then his driving license will be issued only after the age of 25 years.
