However, while sending money to someone, it is important to keep some things in mind so that you do not suffer a loss. If you do not keep these 5 things in mind while sending money online (money transfer rule), then you may suffer a loss. Your money may get stuck or you may be cheated.
1- Search the number on Google
If you are sending money to an unknown person, then to avoid getting cheated, definitely search the number on Google. Many times people have written some reviews on Google about the numbers of fraudsters, which will help you in avoiding getting into any trouble.
2- Do NEFT/IMPS instead of UPI
UPI does not reveal much information about the other person, so transfer money via NEFT/IMPS. You get additional security in sending money through NEFT/IMPS, as it reveals the identity of the people.
3- Do not hurry
Do not transfer money in a hurry, because once the money goes to the wrong account, it becomes difficult to get it back. In such a situation, before sending money, check everything carefully - name, account number, IFSC code.
4- Test by sending less money
Before sending the entire amount, test it by sending 1-2 rupees once so that if there is any problem then you can know. If there is any problem and the money does not reach the other person's account then understand that you have made some mistake and check all the information again.
5- Pay by cheque
If you have to pay money to an unknown company, try to pay by cheque, fraud will not happen. When paying by cheque, it is encashed only after thorough investigation by the bank, which reduces the chances of fraud to a great extent.
