Although the employees were expecting a 50% increase in dearness allowance from January 2024, the government has announced the increase in March 2024. In such a situation, the employees have not only got 50% dearness allowance in the salary of March, but DA Arrears for January and February have also been given to the employees.
What will happen to dearness allowance after 50%
This question is coming in the mind of most government employees that how much will be the increase after 50% dearness allowance. Let us tell you that even now the employees of some departments in the country are being given salary as per the Sixth Pay Commission, due to which their dearness allowance has increased to more than 210%.
But till now there has been no increase in their basic salary. But if we talk about the employees receiving salary as per 7th Pay Commission Good News, then they will be given 50% dearness allowance of the basic salary.

That is, if the basic salary of an employee is currently Rs 18000 per month, and he is earning ₹9000 extra by getting 50% dearness allowance, then as soon as the dearness allowance is made zero, the basic salary will be increased from Rs 18000 per month to Rs 27000 per month.
