Weather Rain Alert: Flood in Uttar Pradesh, heavy rain alert in 22 states of the country including Rajasthan

Due to rain in Navi Mumbai on Saturday, a building collapsed in which three people died. Also, two other people were injured who were immediately admitted to the hospital. The Meteorological Department has issued an alert regarding heavy rain in 22 states.

Weather Update: Due to continuous rain in Uttar Pradesh, flood-like conditions have been created in many districts. Due to rain, water has entered the houses in many villages. 

Due to flood-like conditions, people are facing a lot of difficulties in carrying out their daily work and commuting. Lakhimpur Kheri district is the most affected by the flood. Water has entered 350 villages in five tehsils here. In this article, we will tell you the weather forecast in 22 states.

Rain causes loss of life in many states

Four people died due to heavy rains in Uttarakhand and Uttar Pradesh on Saturday. A mother and daughter died due to a landslide in New Tehri, Uttarakhand. Their bodies were recovered during a search operation. There are reports of loss of life from many places in Uttar Pradesh as well. Two people have died due to lightning in Jalaun district of UP.

Due to rain in Pune, about 6 people have died since Wednesday. Apart from this, due to rain in Navi Mumbai on Saturday, a building collapsed where three people died. Also two other people were injured who were immediately admitted to the hospital. The Meteorological Department has issued an alert regarding heavy rain in 22 states.

Weather update of 22 states

- Apart from this, the Meteorological Department has issued a heavy rain alert in 17 states. There is a heavy rain alert in Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Nagaland, Meghalaya, Sikkim, Assam, Puducherry, West Bengal, Uttarakhand, Madhya Pradesh, Himachal, Chhattisgarh, Tamil Nadu, Odisha.

- Storm and lightning alert in these states: Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Sikkim, Arunachal, Mizoram, Manipur, Nagaland, Tripura, Assam, Meghalaya, Jharkhand, Bihar, West Bengal, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Maharashtra, Gujarat, storm, rain and lightning alert has been issued in the states.

Apart from this, the Meteorological Department has issued an alert of very heavy rain in six states, out of which there will be very heavy rain in Rajasthan, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Kerala, Karnataka and Goa.

How much monsoon rain has occurred across the country

So far, 419.6 mm of rain has fallen across the country during the monsoon season, which is 3% more than the normal rainfall. The monsoon season of June-September should have 868.6 mm or 86.86 cm of rain. 106 percent rainfall has been predicted in 2024. The Meteorological Department considers rainfall between 96 to 104% as average or normal, which is a very good sign for crops.
