But, the supply of onion from both these places is less than the requirement. Due to this, there was a huge shortage of onion in Andhra Pradesh. In such a situation, traders here are buying onions from Maharashtra. This is the reason why onion prices are increasing due to increasing costs. In this way, 600 tonnes of onion arrives in Andhra Pradesh every day.
