Land acquisition of 77 villages
Now the work of Indore-Manmad new rail line project has started at the ground level. The railway line will pass through 77 villages in three districts of Madhya Pradesh.
In November 2024, the Railway Ministry had also issued a gazette notification to acquire the land of these 77 villages. The ministry has then released a list of 18 villages of Mhow tehsil of Indore district. The land of these villages will be given for the railway line.

This new rail line will pass through the tribal areas of Dhar, Khargone and Barwani districts for the first time.
The project will provide direct connectivity to about one thousand villages and 30 lakh people with rail services. In the initial years, twenty lakh passengers will travel in 16 pairs of passenger trains when the project is completed. Railways will get a revenue of more than 900 crores every year from this project.
The distance from Mumbai to Indore will also be reduced from 830 km to 568 km. MP Shankar Lalwani said that a much-awaited railway line will be built between Indore and Manmad.
The Railway Ministry has appointed an officer for this, who will start the process of land acquisition quickly. A huge amount of money will be arranged for this project in the upcoming budget.
Railways will acquire the land of these villages of Mhow tehsil
On January 14, the Railway Ministry announced that land will be given for the railway project in Khedi, Chainpura, Kamdpur, Khudalpura, Kuradakhedi, Ahilyapur, Nanded, Jamli, Kelod, Berchha, Gawali Palasia, Ashapura, Malandi, Kodaria, Borkhedi, Chairia, New Guradia and Mhow Cantonment area of Mhow tehsil. Along with this, land acquisition has also been announced in Dhule and Shindkheda.
