Delhi Metro: Good news for the people of Delhi, 5 new metro stations will be built on this new metro line

HR Mandi Bhav, New Delhi: DPR of metro project from Noida Sector-62 to Sahibabad will be revised. In this, information about metro stations and cost of the route will be updated.

In this regard, in the meeting held on Tuesday, GDA Vice Chairman gave instructions to DMRC officials. GDA is busy connecting the Red and Blue lines of the metro. 

Earlier, two projects of Metro Phase 3 from Vaishali and Noida Sector-62 to Mohnagar were planned, the total cost of which is Rs 3325.22 crore.

For this reason, GDA officials decided to pursue only one route instead of two routes. In this, it was decided to advance the Sahibabad Metro route from Noida Sector-62 by giving priority.

On Tuesday, a meeting was held between GDA and DMRC officials regarding the Sahibabad Metro project from Noida Sector-62. In this the DPR prepared earlier was discussed.

GDA Vice President said that the DPR prepared earlier was made keeping in mind two projects. Also, the cost of these projects was fixed as per that time.

Whereas now a project has to be moved forward, then the DPR from Noida Sector 62 to Sahibabad should be revised and prepared accordingly, in which the exact cost of the project can also be known. 

Then consideration will be given to moving ahead with funding this project. In the board meeting held last month, GDA had taken the proposal of this project to the board meeting, in which it was said to prepare a new DPR. Expressing displeasure over this, the Divisional Commissioner had directed GDA to conduct a survey with DMRC and prepare a revised DPR.

There may be five stations instead of four on this route

The length of Noida to Sahibabad route is 5.17 kilometers. There are four stations on this route so far. These are Vaibhav Khand, Indirapuram, Shakti Khand and Sector Five Vasundhara metro stations. In such a situation, one station Sahibabad can also increase.

GDA Vice President Rakesh Kumar Singh said, 'The DPR of Noida Sector 62 to Sahibabad Metro Project will be revised. Instructions have been given to DMRC officials in this regard. After the preparation of this DPR, the project will be taken forward.

Cost of this route may increase

Earlier, DPR of metro project from Noida Sector 62 to Vasundhara Cut was prepared. Its proposed cost was Rs 1,517 crore. Now GDA will run metro from Noida to Sahibabad. There is every possibility of its cost increasing in the revised DPR.
